At the nuclear site Paks, approximately 100 km south of Budapest, the only Hungarian Nuclear Power Plant is located on the right bank on the Danube. On this site, two additional reactor units (Paks II) are planned to be built with 1,200 MWe each. Operation time is planned for 60 years, with the start of the commercial operation in 2025 and 2030 respectively.
